Slowpoke.jpg for real. So it's going to be an incredibly short summary of these cons, especially because I barely remember much about them.

Otakon
Was stressful. I was working up to the last moment on costumes, and I had a full work week as well. I took the bus down to Jersey late Thurs. night after work and then left to Baltimore as it turned into Friday morning. ~skei and I didn't sleep, I think I got a half hour in during the ride down, but for the most part we were up for over 36 hours until we got to pass out Friday night. Artist alley setup was a mess and took forever. Then we had to get into costumes still. However, Friday was really great, as it was that day that Sam and I pretty much had Mother-con and met a bunch of amazing people from Starmen.net. It made all the crappy parts of the con less bad. Sales wise I didn't do well in the alley. I broke even on my cost for the table, but didn't make profit at all, do that was dissapointing. I was also really tired, and Sam and I were stressed the whole weekend. But there were good moments. I had dinner with some wonderful gals, got to talk to a bunch of friends and seeing them all in their great costumes. Then after the con on Sunday, Sam and I went with her friends to see HP:HBP (my second time, lol.)

NYAF
Slightly dissapointing. I was really excited because my past two NYAFs were amazing, and this year I'd be with both ~skei and ~firewolf826. However, my lack of planning and time management led to a mostly wasteful time spent finishing up costumes. The only redeeming thing about this con was doing a photoshoot with Sam and Erin in our Geass costumes, shot by ~Sky-too-high. It was incredibly fun and made all the trouble I went through to make the costume well worth it. It didn't seem like I missed a whole lot while not at the con though. If anything I should have just spent the weekend hanging out with Sam and Erin and taking a photoshoot with them, not worrying about a con. I've got my fingers crossed for next year though. This while ordeal was certainly the kick in the ass I needed to stop waiting till the last minute to make my costumes.

I'm glad con season if over. I need time to recover. I have started planning my next year in costume and will be starting this before the 2-week-before mark. Right now, in terms of cosplay, my next costumes will be different outfits of one of my favorite characters from my absolute favorite show: Davis from Digimon Zero Two. I've always wanted to cosplay him, before I ever knew what cosplay was so this is an utter dream come true. ~firewolf826 is going to be my Ken, and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be cosplaying Davis. First costume of his I'm aiming to do is his Winter outfit. Erin is going to be doing Ken's winter outfit as well, our goal is to get pictures at Rockefeller Center, which, for those of you unfamiliar with the show, was where Davis went during a set of episodes in which the Digidestined had to go around the world closing digital gates and returning Digimon to the Digital world. WORDSWORDS I like Digimon more than any other fandom and therefore I am very excited.
